Youth Voter Guide

Maine Students Vote and JustME for JustUs launched a nonpartisan rural youth voter guide focused on the issues GenZ cares about. We asked every candidate running for Maine governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and Maine legislative races the following questions:

  • Food Access: What will you do to ensure rural youth and families have consistent access to healthy, local, and affordable food?
  • Community: How will you collaborate with young people in rural areas to ensure they have access to community resources and shared places?
  • Housing: What steps do you plan to take to address housing instability for rural youth and families?
  • Transportation: What transportation solutions will you implement to connect rural youth to education, employment, and community services?
  • Wabanaki Rights: Will you support the right to Wabanaki self determination?
